THE LONG OR STANDARD LENGTH SHIFTER IS TYPICALLY USED IN A BUG APPLICATION. - 13 1/2" OVER ALL LENGTH

THE SHORT LENGTH SHIFTER IS TYPICALLY USED IN FIBERGLASS OR RAIL BUGGY APPLICATIONS.  THIS IS NORMALLY NECESSARY BECAUSE THE THROW ON THE SHIFTER INTERFERES WITH THE DASH BOARDS OF MOST BUGGIES. - 12" OVER ALL LENGTH

If you’re thinking about upgrading to this shifter think no more. It’s totally awesome from the stock beetle shifter. I had the EMPI quick shift plate on my old stock shifter, it was an improvement but nothing like adding this whole shift setup on. No adjusting after I bolted it on in in the Neutral position. Tried it, it was perfect and went into all gears flawlessly. Love the up reverse  feature also. All gears go in smoothly and very tight in distance from each other.
